The World Is Ending, The Battle For Godhood Has Begun

The Hummingbird Warrior was born twenty six years before the end of the world into a military family. She threw her first spear at two years old, and beat a trained soldier in a contest of strength at five years old. By the time she was a teenager she could punch through stone, and once she was an adult she took on an entire army of invaders single handedly. The respect her soldiers showed her, and the fear from her enemies, elevated her to demigod status. For The Hummingbird Warrior, this was not enough. Not enough challenge, not enough obstacles to climb, and not enough glory. She had defended her country from an invading force just before the prophecy of the world’s end reached her. This news gave her an idea: ascend to godhood, and I could find all the challenges I wish challenging the gods of war.

The Snake Priestess was born nineteen years before the end of the world, in a small fishing village on the edge of Huehcaxolal’s domain. In her childhood, her parents came home one day to see her speaking with a venomous snake that had found its way into their house. Word quickly spread around the area that there was a girl who could talk with sacred snakes, and the people of the surrounding countryside revered her enough to elevate her to demigod status. Unfortunately, The Snake Priestess was quite happy with her normal life, before becoming a demigod at such a young age, and was frustrated at the people who forced this onto her. She set out on a journey across the empire as soon as she was old enough to travel alone, and has been traveling, looking for a way to descend from demigodhood ever since. 

The Magician Prince was born twenty one years before the end of the world, to the royal family of Huehcaxolal. He was born just minutes after his twin, and thus was not the chosen successor to the throne. While his brother practiced statecraft, he was given lessons from the wizard in the royal family’s court. He was particularly talented in magic, but had a strong sense of wanderlust that had him sneak out of the castle on more than one occasion. He uses his magic mostly for himself, but in his travels he always helps at least one person in the area before moving on to the next, doing increasingly ludicrous feats of kindness and power until the stories around him spun out of control and he was elevated to demigod status. From here, there’s only one thing left to add to his list of stories: ascend to godhood.
